On December 2nd 2009 SDBP organized New Year’s Café International, a networking event that took place at Kavarna KavaČaj Slamič. More than 40 members and invited guests participated at the event. The SDBP Executive Committee organized the event in order to give the guests some positive inspiration for managing their business in the future. Mr. Ole Bloch, Danish consultant living in Slovenia, presented his experiences from working with Danish and Slovenian companies and their reactions to the crisis.
At the beginning of the event president of SDBP’s Executive Committee, Mr. Tičo Zupančič welcomed all the guests and pointed out: “Even though this was very turbulent year SDBP managed to rejoin its forces and upgrade its strategy into more internationally oriented business platform which respects its origin in the Slovenian-Dutch relations«. Mr. Zupančič presented some SDBP's actions in this year and expressed his satisfaction with SDBP's active role in Slovenia and in international space which offers its members a platform to learn and share business experiences and resources in a global context.
Further on, Mr. Ole Bloch presented a lecture entitled "Panic or progress?!" where he showed some examples of Danish and Slovenian companies and their reactions to the crisis. He also explained why Danish economy is able to swiftly cope with the crisis and present some successful business examples. He showed methods and tools he as consultant is using in order to help the companies to develop their business.
Mr. Bloch from Denmark has been working as a management consultant for 20 years and operates mainly in Denmark and Slovenia. He now lives in Bled. He works with large and midsize companies as an executive coach and change agent, helping companies and organizations through changes by involving all their employees in the process.
His experiences in business and his recommendations gave the guests some inspiration for the following times and their new business opportunities.


The evening closed with relaxed networking among guests.
